During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarkis Clinical Trials pivoted our work to focus on COVID-19 testing and clinical trials. Our small team ran 1/3 of the testing in Alachua county with our peak testing of 300 tests per day. Our amazing team developed strategies to ensure smooth and valid testing to support the community.

Our clinical trials worked on treatments and testing devices that we are thrilled to have seen their way into hospitals and clinics all over the US.

We are still open for COVID testing and specialize in testing for travel.

COVID-19 Testing
We offer drive-up COVID-19 testing Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Rapid Antigen
Tests for the presence of viral proteins specific to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The test can be done in a few minutes and the results are available in 15 minutes.

Rapid antigen tests are less sensitive than PCR tests but valuable for identifying people who are currently infectious and may be spreading the virus.
Same Day PCR
(Currently not available)
Tests for the presence of genetic material of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The test can be done in a few minutes and the results are available in 12-18 hours.

PCR tests are highly sensitive and very accurate at detecting the virus even in people who are asymptomatic. These tests are often used as the gold standard
Antibody Testing
Test for the presence of antibodies produced from past COVID-19 infection. These tests can be done in a few minutes and are available in 24 hours.
Antibody tests are not used for diagnosing current infections but for showing previous infections. It is unclear how long antibodies last in the body or it's protection against future infection.
